Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website Singapore Education Pathways (the “Service”), operated as a sole proprietorship in the Republic of Singapore (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account, making a purchase, or otherwise using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

The Service provides web-based educational planning tools for parents and students navigating the Singapore education system. This includes calculators, cut-off-point databases, school finders, projection tools, and related information. The Service is delivered entirely online through this website.

The Service is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute educational, financial, legal, or professional advice. All admission decisions are made solely by the Ministry of Education (MOE), the relevant institutions, or their successors — not by us.

3. Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years of age, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current information when creating an account, and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You may not share, transfer, sell, sublicense, or otherwise allow other parties to use your account.
  • One account per individual or family unit. Suspicious sharing or commercial reuse may result in suspension without refund.

4. Plans, Payments & “Lifetime” Access

  • The Service is offered on a one-time-payment basis. There is no recurring subscription, no auto-renewal, and no recurring charge unless explicitly stated for a future product.
  • Prices are displayed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and processed by Stripe.
  • “Lifetime access” means access for as long as we continue to operate the Service and your account remains in good standing. It does not constitute a guarantee that the Service will be operated for any specific period.
  • Plan inclusions and pricing may change for future purchasers; your existing purchase will not be retroactively downgraded.
  • All payment-processing fees, currency-conversion fees, taxes, and bank charges are your responsibility where applicable.

5. Refund Policy

Refunds are governed by our separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law, regulation, or third-party right;
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, mirror, redistribute, or commercially exploit any data, design, or content from the Service;
  • Attempt to access another user’s account or any non-public area of the Service;
  • Use automated agents, bots, or scripts against the Service except where explicitly permitted;
  • Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringing;
  • Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

7. Data Accuracy & No Warranty

The Service relies on data from official Ministry of Education publications, polytechnic and junior college websites, and other public sources. While we make reasonable efforts to keep data accurate and current, we make no warranty as to its accuracy, completeness, currency, or fitness for any purpose.

You agree to verify any material information directly with the Ministry of Education, the relevant institution, or an appropriately qualified adviser before making any decision based on the Service. We are not responsible for outcomes (including admissions, postings, fees, scholarships, or grades) influenced by your use of the Service.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, our total aggregate liability to you for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Service, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise, is strictly limited to the amount you actually paid to us for the plan giving rise to the claim. Where you have not made any payment, our liability to you is zero.

In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including (but not limited to) lost opportunities, lost admissions, emotional distress, lost data, or loss of profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Service, its operator, and any contributors from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your breach of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Service; (c) decisions you or any third party make based on information obtained through the Service; or (d) your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Intellectual Property

All software, design, copy, layout, calculator logic, and aggregated databases comprising the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by Singapore and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual-property laws. Cut-off data sourced from public documents remains in the public domain; our compilation, normalisation, and presentation of that data is proprietary.

You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own (and your family’s) personal, non-commercial use only.

11. User-Submitted Content

If you submit feedback, suggestions, school presets, or any other content to the Service, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable licence to use, reproduce, modify, and incorporate that content into the Service. You represent that you have the right to grant this licence.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on Stripe (payments), Clerk (authentication), Supabase (data storage), Vercel (hosting), and may rely on other third-party processors. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or outages of third-party providers.

13. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if we reasonably suspect you have breached these Terms, abused the Service, attempted fraud or chargeback abuse, or engaged in unlawful activity. Termination for cause does not entitle you to any refund.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us via the feedback page. Termination does not by itself entitle you to a refund, except as provided in our Refund Policy.

14. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version on this page. For material changes that adversely affect existing paying users, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Not Affiliated with MOE

Singapore Education Pathways is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Ministry of Education, any polytechnic, junior college, ITE college, secondary school, university, or any government agency of the Republic of Singapore.

16. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. You agree that the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service, except that we may seek injunctive relief in any competent jurisdiction to protect our intellectual-property rights.

17. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy and Refund Policy) constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
