Which nursing entry route are you checking?

This table covers the 2026 O-Level JAE academic references for Nanyang Polytechnic and Ngee Ann Polytechnic. N-Level/PFP, ITE and other qualification routes have their own requirements. Do not apply this table to a different route or assume an O-Level score can be converted into its aggregate.

Biology is one accepted subject, not the only one

Both reviewed 2026 lists accept English A1–D7, Mathematics or Additional Mathematics A1–C6, and one listed science-related subject A1–C6. The lists include Biology, Chemistry, Physics and the published Combined Science pairs, as shown in the table. Check the exact qualification route and subject name.

A fictional student with English C6, Mathematics C5 and Combined Science Chem/Bio B4 meets those three subject checks in this reference. That alone does not establish a complete ELR2B2-C score, medical suitability or an admission offer. Use the free calculator to inspect all five aggregate slots.

Separate the eligibility ceiling from the historical cut-off

NYP’s current O-Level entry page states a net ELR2B2-C ceiling of 28 for C97 and separately labels the scores from its 2026 JAE. A ceiling is not the score guaranteed to receive a place. Posting depends on merit, vacancies and other applicable conditions. Read NYP’s O-Level and medical requirements.

The table’s historical scores come from the earlier 2025 reference in the 2026 JAE booklet. Keep those years visible. Pre-2028 totals must not be compared directly with revised SEC totals.

Medical and clinical-training checks are a separate step

Nursing applicants must also review the institution’s medical examination and safe patient-care ability requirements. Clinical placements can have vaccination and other healthcare requirements. Read the current official instructions; the calculator does not assess health information or medical suitability.

A family checklist before choosing

• Confirm the route, examination year and diploma intake year.
• Check all three named academic minimums and the complete aggregate.
• Read the clinical training, placement and medical instructions directly.
• Discuss the demands of patient care and the course’s learning activities.
• Verify application instructions and future requirements on official pages.
